In the days before I went online I kept a reading diary, so it seemed to make sense to move from quill and ink once I’d started putting the Kinks stuff up. I’ve been blogging since some time in 2002 and being a cheap skate have only used free platforms. As such, mine first web host Dreamwater just disappeared without warning one day a couple of years back; but I was grateful for the experience, doing my own thing with old magazine cover disk of Adobe PageMill. Moved to GeoCities, which was pretty painless though it never really felt like a home, and now they are quitting the ‘free’ marketplace this October (2009). And so now – hey!
